Shaft Flex & Loft

The "floating" weight and step sole, the first to feature the Ai 10x FACE, reduce two common mistakes. The ELYTE fairway woods not only achieve a high level of speed and forgiveness, but were also developed to address two major issues facing fairway woods. The first is inconsistent impact points. Like the driver, the Ai 10x FACE increases the control point by 10 times compared to the PARADYM Ai SMOKE MAX fairway wood, providing powerful support for a variety of mishits. The second is impact on the lower part of the face. To ensure a solid ball flight even on topped hits, the new design features a tungsten speed wave that's slightly elevated from the inside of the sole and a step sole design with a stepped profile that creates a high, elevated rear. The standard ELYTE fairway wood features Callaway's signature rounded appearance and a shallow face that promises easy ball pick-up. The lineup includes seven models, from W#3 to W#11.

Features & Benefits:

  • Like the driver, the new ELYTE fairway wood is equipped with the Ai 10x FACE, which delivers a straight flight no matter where you hit it
Enhanced software capabilities allow AI to scan the face design down to the finest details, increasing the number of control points (locations on the face that correct for optimal trajectory). This improves upon the previous model's ability to address inconsistencies in the impact point, one of the biggest mistakes made with fairway woods, and allows you to hit the ball farther and within a narrower landing range, regardless of where you hit the ball on the face.
  • Tungsten Speed Wave, which doesn't inhibit lower-section flex
The lower front portion of the sole, in the toe-heel direction, features a uniquely integrated weight called Tungsten Speed Wave, which is installed in a different way than previous models. Conventional weights are attached to the inside or outside of the sole by welding or screws. While this method achieves a low, shallow center of gravity, it also has the drawback of inhibiting flex from the lower part of the face to the front of the sole. The Tungsten Speed Wave is fixed with screws at a position away from the face inside, while the portion extending from the toe to the heel near the face is designed to be slightly elevated from the inside of the sole. This allows the lower part of the face to flex firmly, even on impacts close to the top, enabling the ball to be launched high and far.
  • The sole design
has also been completely redesigned. It adopts the step-sole design seen on the 2022 APEX UW, which features a step midway through the shaft. The rear section is slightly elevated and raised, reducing the sole's contact area with the ground by 57%. This reduces excess sole rebound at impact, improving head release and significantly reducing mishits on the lower part of the face. At the same time, the front sole design takes into account the instability of the head's seating due to the raised rear of the sole. It's designed to prevent the face from opening up when the club is set on the ground.
  • The ELYTE Fairway Wood is positioned as the standard model in the series, inheriting the rounded appearance and shallow face from the previous model
When addressed, it has a rounded appearance that follows the shape of the previous PARADYM Ai SMOKE MAX fairway wood, and the face is shallow, making it easy to pick up the ball. The weight is the aforementioned tungsten Speed Wave, with no weight located at the rear of the sole. With greater distance performance than the previous model, a narrow landing area, and excellent coverage for mishits, this model is suitable for a wide range of players.
  • The ELYTE Fairway Woods offer the widest lineup of any club in the series, with seven different club lengths:
W#3, W#3HL, W#5, W#7, Heaven, W#9, and W#11. The face materials are maraging steel C300 for the W#3, W#3HL, and W#5, Carpenter 455 steel for the W#7 and Heaven, and 17-4 stainless steel for the W#9 and W#11. Triaxial carbon crowns are used for all club lengths except W#9 and W#11. Only the W#3 and W#3HL models feature an adjustable hosel.
