• The entire perimeter has a cross-section shaped like the letter J.

The biggest improvement in the "QUANTUM" iron series is its 360° undercut structure. The entire circumference of the head forms a cross-section that is bent like the letter J. In addition, by positioning the welding points of the face further back from the face, the face flexes more firmly over a wider area from the bottom to the toe than conventional face cup structures, increasing the launch angle of the ball and improving ball speed. Even with mis-hits on the bottom of the face, which are common among average golfers, the ball will get airborne and achieve sufficient distance, and the appropriate amount of spin will be produced, increasing the probability of getting the ball on the green.

• Urethane microspheres provide a comfortable feel when hitting the ball.

The lower part of the back of the face features urethane microspheres for a comfortable feel and body weights for proper weight distribution, but what's noteworthy is how they are mounted. As mentioned earlier, the "QUANTUM" iron series employs a 360° undercut structure, and the urethane microspheres are sandwiched in an L-shape between the undercut at the bottom of the face and the weights. This measure minimises the direct contact area between the weights and the bottom of the face, allowing the flex effect of the undercut to be fully utilised.

• Callaway will continue to implement the AI design technology it has developed.

The clubface incorporates Callaway's long-standing AI design (model- and club-specific design). The AI designs the clubface using real-world swing and ball flight data from numerous golfers. Because the face flexes more easily at impact, the AI-designed control points are further enhanced, resulting in even greater ball flight correction. It optimises launch angle and spin rate for each impact point, achieving consistent ball speed and delivering the ball to a narrower, further landing area.

• The beveling of the sole is optimised considering the impact point.

Callaway's recent irons have received high praise for their bevelled soles, but the shape has been slightly modified in the new "QUANTUM" iron series. While the leading edge of previous models had a comb-like bevel, the "QUANTUM" features a thin, uniform bevel from toe to heel. This style was adopted to ensure smooth turf interaction even with slight variations in impact point. On the other hand, the trailing edge remains the same as before, also featuring a bevel from toe to heel.

• The MAX has a standard blade length and offset design.

There are two types of lineups, one of which is the "QUANTUM MAX irons", which have a set of nine clubs: I#6-9 and PW. The loft angle is set a little stronger, with I#7 at 29 degrees.
